GMT question!
-
Ok, I’m working on this boy as a new foundation stallion to promote varied lines in my herd. I like M/KP horses and have thought of putting 2 copies of KP on this guy, but will it change his color being homozygous M? Or does it have to be like an M/TO for KP to show? Also, do y’all think CH will look good with pearl? Thanks!!!

I’m going to remove his snow gene as well!
-
I think KP could make him look lighter since it might add a kind of roan marking. KP2 would only blue the edges of the white marks so maybe that one is better for you?
-
He is super cute already! KP just needs two kit genes to show, it doesn't matter what they are, but obviously a different kit gene like Tobi would change his white spotting. The only thing really to keep in mind is that KP causes roan patches which doesn't show on white so too much white makes it hard for KP to show through.

Also I absolutely love kit m and it is expensive so at this point I feel like it would be a waste of $$$ to change it back. The foggy KP patches will also change with every reroll so you can always roll until you get what you like!
I would leave the snow gene on there! He doesn't have appy so it doesn't affect him at all, but it's a desirable gene and fun thing to have sprinkled through your lines
P.S. KP/KP2 is also a super cool combo ;) -
Yes, KP/KP2 are awesome together. Ladwyhawke is right, it doesn't matter what Kit genes you have as long as you have 2. For KP2, if you had it alone, you need some kind of white for it to interact with, but if you had homozygous w20 it wouldn't show besides on his socks.
Champagne and pearl would make all of his foals have a nice shine, but together on the same horse it might wash out a little. Try look up horses with both on the horse search. :)~*RoseFlute on HJ2*~#153#
Here I breed Black-Based Riding Horses with an assortment of Fantasy genes. -
Ok, I’ll try to do both KP and KP2! Just gotta get lucky with some of these candy horses first lol, thank y’all! Still iffy on the CH lol

Don't waste money on removing snowflake (if it will even let you). He isn't appy so it won't matter.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
